Fade

• Dan Becker’s debut solo CD as a composer explores his fascination with process in all its forms. “Gridlock” is Becker’s most performed work and a predictable favorite with musicians and audiences alike. “Fade,” the title track, is something of a lullaby written for his yet-to-be born daughter. “Keeping Time” and “A Dream of Waking” show how process can be embodied in musical composition. Becker is Composition Chair at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
